Description

Hello! We are two girls in our early twenties from the United Kingdom who have been travelling South East Asia and Australia for a year now. Together, we share the passion to travel the world and are constantly seeking adventure and the opportunity to explore new places and meet different people. We are driven by our passion of environmentalism, conservation and sustainability and we hope to carry this with us on our travels. We pride ourselves on being really fun, friendly and enthusiastic individuals who are up for giving anything a try. We are both equally ready for the opportunity to make connections, give our time to projects we believe in and to learn. We both have previous travel and voluntary experience but it will be our first time in these specific regions. We are new to workaway and are very much excited to start our adventure, visit new and exciting locations and encounter lots of friendly faces along the way.

We are both educated at a University degree level. Lucy has a first class degree in International Relations and Bryony a first class degree in Environmental science; both from the University of York, England. We both also have employment experience in these sectors. With Lucy's working with NGO's such as the British Red Cross and Salford Foundation, and Bryony working as an environmental advisor for Nottingham Community Housing Association. We are both keen educators, learners and hands-on individuals. We have a huge appreciation for nature and being outdoors. Whether it's painting, writing, reading, planting, hiking, cooking, baking, researching, social media, planners, travelling, we have a wide range of interests and hobbies. We equally have a huge willingness to try all things new. We are people's people, good communicators, friendly, good with all ages and especially animals! We are keen to spread our enthusiasm and positive energy.

What else ...

Additionally, we are individuals who love a bit of competition. From board games, card games and sporting. We have experience playing both Rugby and Netball to a good level. We also enjoy playing sports such as volleyball, tennis, swimming, badminton and others. We enjoy watching films, meeting new people and being outdoor in nature. We love road trips, driving, dancing and singing (albeit badly)! We are so excited to embark on this adventure and discover hobbies and interests we do not even know of yet.
