Hey, I'm a 23 years old French guy looking for stories to tell when I'll be old! If you want to go somewhere located near mountains and water (lake, sea, fjord...), I'm on it!

Hi!
I'm Lucien, a dynamic young french guy currently living in the Alps, near Grenoble. As I graduated in September 2024 as an engineer in environmental and water management, I let myself a year (at least ;)) to travel a bit, meet new people and learn things French school can't afford.

I'm quite used to manual work, as my family runs an organic walnut farm since 70 years, which means spending week-ends cutting trees or branches, mowing, brush cutting... Gardening is also something I really like to do, especially when it's aiming for being self-sufficient, and I'm currently reading some books or articles in order to improve my knowledge about it. Above all, I absolutely love to chop wood and use the chainsaw, the manual saw or the axe.

I was lucky enough to go to Norway in summer 2022 (with Wwoofing website, that's why there is no reviews on this account), working in farms for two months near Oslo and Bergen. Helping people with their gardens, building greenhouses, forest cottages, old barns or boats pleased me so much, quite as much as showing them French recipes .Since I had the best time of my life there, I'd really like to try it again :)

On a more personal side :
- I'm quite sporty (especially when it comes to climb mountains by bike, foot or hands) so if you're looking for a swimming, ski touring, volley-balling, whatever activiting mate, we're going to end up friends...
- listening to Dire Straits and Pink Floyd is almost an obsession, but we can also cry together listening to old French or Italian singers. If you play any instruments, I'd be delighted to learn a bit with you!
- when I'm not in mountains or listening to Dire Straits, I spend my time reading (philosophy essays, classics, adventure stories...), cooking (lasagnes, gratin dauphinois, tartiflette, fondue...), helping neighbors to fix some things or trying to improve the town's life.

More details about my language interests
I can with pleasure teach French (my dad is a French teacher so grammatical mistakes were forbidden at home), as much as French literature or music English is not my mother tongue but I got a lot of non-french friends, so I speak English often. If you want to practice I can help but I won't be able to see 100% of the mistakes...

I'm used to work outside so I can do quite a lot of things : gardening (weeding, watering, seeding, brush-cutting...), wood working (cutting, chopping, stow...), building or fixing stuff like barns or boats, cooking, spreading good mood...

You don't have to worry, I'm quite resourceful when it comes to manual work and I usually bring other people into the dynamic :)

I'm used to animals (cats, dogs, ducks, hens, cows, sheep...) so can't wait to meet yours!
