Hi everybody! My name is Carlotta, a curious, adventurous 23 years-old girl who loves challenges. I've already had a wonderful Workaway experience in Tallinn, Estonia and Thessaloniki, Greece, working in a youth hostel. Before that I enjoyed another exciting Workaway period of two months in Northern Ireland, always taking care of different tasks in a hostel. I am just back from New York where I did an internship as a PR, after getting a MA in Film studies in the Netherlands and a BA in Rome which included an Erasmus year at the University of Kent in Canterbury. I studied Drama and Cinema because I dream of becoming a screenwriter. Travelling, meeting and getting to know new cultures and ways of life have always been my great passion. When I finished high schooI I spent my summer with a host family in San Francisco, California and I loved that experience. I am a cheerful, optimistic but reflective person, helpful and eager to learn. I’m used to living in multicultural environments and I’m good at teamwork, problem solving and creative thinking. I am always ready for a new adventure and I am really looking forward for a new Workaway!

My mother tongue is Italian, which I am able to teach at various levels thanks to my previous experiences, I am fluent in English and have a basic knowledge in French. I have worked in the organization of theatre shows,film festivals and I have shot short films. I also developed my communication and relationship skills with people by working as a shop assistant in a bookstore. Furthermore I learned to be patient and reliable while teaching students of primary and secondary schools and to be trustworthy in voluntary work with charities.
During my three Workaway experiences I learnt:
helping with coffee/breakfast preparation,
helping with cleaning rooms and bathrooms,tiding up common areas,
helping with bed linen and laundries,
helping with guests,giving maps,tips,directions,
helping with the bar.

What else ...

I really like reading, writing and playing the piano. But I am also a sporty person, I practiced sports such as fencing, volleyball, ice skating, artistic gymnastics and finally my favorite ones tennis and swimming. Photography is one of my favourite hobby.
