Description
I am Lotte, an 18-year-old from Germany. It has been my dream to come to New Zealand for a long time now, especially after reviewing the pictures of me in New Zealand in 2007.
I am looking for several smaller projects in January - March 2025 to be able to see different parts of New Zealand.
I am interested in cultural exchange and learning about the country! I view myself as a rather outgoing person who is not afraid of gaining new experiences and making new friends along the way!Interests

More details about your skills
My main field of skills lays in working with people. For the past few years, I spent most of my free time in youth work. My tasks mostly involved working with children and teenagers and creating a welcoming atmosphere for them. I also organized a lot since I am part of this year’s board.
I am a very creative person. Growing up, I learned to play the guitar. Music in general has always played a big role in my life. Whenever I feel down, I listen to some music. Sometimes, I also like to sing to better my mood. I have been part of a choir for most of my life and I really enjoy the activity of creating something beautiful together.
An equally important role, if not more important, in my life is played by literature. I have always read a lot and view reading as a wonderful way of escaping into other realities and gaining more knowledge. My love for literature also ends in creating some of my own.
I also have some basic skills in general maintenance. In my family, it was very common to spend a lot of weekends doing yard work. I helped my dad with small renovations and similar tasks around the house. I am certainly not very skilled, but I am always more than willing to learn something new and I like a good challenge.Age

What else ...
I already have some experience in living abroad as I spent my tenth grade in St. Louis, MO in the United States. This stay taught me how important it is to try to understand other people’s perspectives. This was not the first time I have made that experience of getting to know other cultures and their perspectives. From the age of 9, I grew up with Au Pairs. They always played a major role in my life as they were like the big sister I never had to me. I have a lot of international friends, most of them I have either met during my year abroad or on World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon.
I must admit, I am not the most sportive person the world has seen. I do like hiking. Nothing beats the feeling of reaching the summit.
The topic of social justice is quite interesting to me. I am considering studying law starting next fall.
I love history and everything that comes along with it. History was one of my advanced classes in secondary school but I continue educating myself on historical topics, even after graduating.
I am currently pursuing my driver’s license - obviously aiming to pass before my departure! Some more information
