Dear Hosts,

my name is Lise, I am 31 years old, I am originally from France and I have been living in Germany for more than 8 years now. I love foreign languages and beeing in intercultural environments! If you are looking for a cultural exchange and if you want to learn French or German with me, I would be happy to help you :-)

I am currently working as a French Teacher in Freiburg im Breisgau in Germany, next to the French border. My students are 12-16 years old and I enjoy teaching them my mother tongue in a playful way! Before this experience, I have been teaching French to teenagers and younger adults, so I enjoy sharing my language and culture with grown ups as well :-)

As I learned German as a first foreign language before English and as I have been studying in Germany more than 6 years and working in various German speaking environments, I reached the German level of C1-C2. If you are interested in learning German, I would enjoy to help you with German too.

A few words about me: In my free time, I love drawing, painting, or do some handy crafts. I like cooking Asian or French food (I try new dishes once in a while). I love swimming or going for walks. I have an international friends group in Freiburg and I live in an international shared flat, so I would describe myself as open, respectful and curious about other people´s cultures. We organise some game nights together, it is fun.

I already have several experiences in living at other families´ places abroad. I took parts to exchanges with families in Germany as a teenager, I have already baby-sitted children in Ireland a few years ago (workaway), and I worked in a secondary school in Taiwan (R.O.C.).
So I would say that I know how to adapt myself to new environments and to respect other people´s boundaries and family rules.
