Description

Hi! I’m Lisa (29, German) currently taking time off work to travel and volunteer in Australia & New Zealand. I’m here to try different kinds of work, learn by doing, and connect with people along the way.

My background is in clinical and health psychology (MSc). I’ve worked with children and adults in mental-health settings, facilitated wellbeing workshops, and later moved into sustainability, consulting, and project work. I also have hands-on experience in hospitality, reception, customer service, and bakery work. I enjoy creating a calm, warm and helpful atmosphere and I pick things up quickly.

I speak German and English fluently, plus some Portuguese and Dutch. I like to stay active, work with my hands, and I’m comfortable with physical tasks.

Outside of work you’ll most likely find me outdoors—hiking, exploring, or just enjoying nature. I care about sustainability, good food, animals, and meaningful conversations over a coffee or while cooking together. I’m joining Workaway with curiosity, a positive attitude, and the wish to contribute wherever I land.

What else ...

In my free time, I enjoy creative and mindful activities like reading, journaling, photography and small DIY projects. I love shared moments—cooking together, playing board or card games, or exploring new places with good company. From time to time I also enjoy discovering something new in the digital world or trying out unfamiliar activities. I’m curious by nature and open to anything that sparks creativity or brings people together.
