Description

Hello there! This is Krisztián, a curious explorer who wants to see the world. I decided to do workaway for two reasons: I'd like to give back and contribute to meaningful projects, creating real values and learn something new while traveling. Secondly, I usually thrive to experience things in a more deeper and immersive way than others.nI have done some volunteering before 1,5 year for a youth organization (Hungarian Youth Association) contributing to a podcast series and several student programs across Europe. I have a greate passion for sports and nature, community building, tasty food, and good vines. I recently shifted my focus to self-development and also became more open to other people's stories. I'm not affraid of challenges: I have crossed Europe by train, plane and car several times, often adjusting travelplans while on the way. I have two degrees in international relations and I like meaningful conversations about social innovation, and sustainable forms of development or any other topic.

My main motivation to travel and work around the world is that I'd like to meet and get to know people from different part of the world, and get familiar with their perspectives. I have some experience in maintenance work around the house (built a wooden house and fence at my aunt's, countryside Hungary), did Workaway in a farm near Veendam renovating buildings and taking care of animals. I'm guest-oriented and have attention to details (finetuned in a fine-dining restaurant in Groningen, NL), and generally a good capability to understand others. I learn fast and am exceptionally helpful.

As a former orienteerer (good at reading maps and finding routes) I find my way in many sense. I can help with building, renovation, taking care of pets, cleaning, restaurant job, tasks related to sport activities and gardening. In case of any questions, don't hasitate to contact me. I have experience in customer service and in hospitality (I've been working in a fine-dining restaurant in Groningen). I'm guest-oriented, a team-worker, have good communication skills, attention to details, and get along with poeple easily. I like to talk to them in their own languages, and learn from them as well.

Besides these I have some maintanance and gardening skills, though not related to previous jobs. In contrast, my cleaning skills are partly related, and are fairly good. As a self-educating person, I aquired some skills in digital content creation. Last, but not least, I got a basic wine knowledge.
