    Lalitha's profile description:
The little things make me happy and motivated. It could simply be having some strawberries with honey while drinking my favourite tea or seeing a garlic clove that I put in a cup with some water sprout roots. I like experiencing the little things that life has to offer whether it'd be good or bad. Tiny events can have the biggest impact, and my life mission is to fully experience or enjoy those moments. My husband and I want to take the next step in our lives by moving to Ireland. We made this account because we wanted to explore Ireland and what it has to offer before making the big move. We also want to gain new skills such as gardening, learning about farms, or any other skills you'd like to share we would be happy to learn! I have volunteered before, but it was online: I taught English to Chinese students and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the progress my students made.

    Sean's Profile Description:
Learning crafts of any description is in my nature, from self-taught joinery, leathercraft, and mechanics. With qualifications in carpentry and tree surgery all the way to garden design. Being a natural introvert, I do enjoy alone time but new experiences and nature with my wife are essential. Lover of all songs bar country music, I'm easygoing but may take a bit longer than most to crack open my personality if we don't share many interests from the get-go. Moving to Ireland by the end of 2024 is our shared goal, to live sustainably and with animals on a small stead; but immersing myself in my family's heritage and culture before embarking was always part of the plan. For anyone hosting, I'd like to say I create an environment around myself where people can be open, and honest but also capable of laughing at me when in need of cheering up. I hope to bring a little bit of home with me to share with you. I have little volunteer experience outside of a charity shop but benefit from helping raise my 3 nieces for years on end and have a clear work ethic having run multiple businesses by the age of 20. I am excited to get to know you and contribute as best I can.

We hope to make new memories with you all! Thank you for reading our profile description

    Sean's Skill Description:
I studied garden design for 2 years and hope to study for a further year, I have 7 years of experience in rigging corporate hospitality event structures most notably South African stretch tents. Due to the seasonal nature of the above work, I have spent my winters completing contracts as a plumbers mate, landscaper, forge assistant, self-taught welder, and trampoline technician. Spent 3 years running a campervan conversion company using my seasonal income to fund the endeavour and have recently changed the industry with leathercraft as a source of income and a timely hobby. My most notable work experience outside of the events business and my own companies belongs to carpentry within construction. Hoping to eventually build my own home, I have made it my mission to become a jack of all trades as best I can. There's more to list, but a CV can be supplied upon request, If I don't already know a skill, I sure as hell know where to find the ins and outs of completing the task. I look forward to helping out.

  • What else ...

    Lalitha:
I love to crochet, learn languages, read, and travel! My favourite thing to do is to come up with different or new meals to eat.

    Sean:
I LOVE FOOD. Before my wife, I was married to food: from a young age my parents admitted their culinary ineptitude so my older brother and I took on the main role of avoiding their cooking at all costs. Aside from cooking, scenic views in real life and in a video game, equally appeal, an Xbox man through and through but I don't discriminate against other platforms: My wife loves Nintendo and we share computer gaming. Motorcycle rides and working on cars are a fascinating part of my life, otherwise, I can be found looking out for the next films in the cinema and the next series to watch on TV.
