My next destination:
Peru - from Mar 2024 until Apr 2024 View allDescription
Heyy, I’m Liam I’m 20 years old and I graduated school 2 years ago. Over the next 1-2 years I want to gain work experience with animals before I go on to study at university. Right now I’ve already been traveling for a year and a half and got to help on multiple animal rescue and welfare projects
I am very passionate about the welfare of animals as well as the upkeep of our environment and sustainable living. As I am working towards a career in animal conservation, I would love to help animals in need, learn about their behaviour and proper handling and work towards a better future for them. Volunteering seems like the perfect opportunity to do that.
The traveling aspect brings me just as much joy, I always look forward to experience different cultures, learn new things and meet amazing people. Talking, laughing, exchanging views, ideas and stories are some of my favourite things to do.
I am a very lively and active person. I always try to find joy in the things I do and spread kindness.
I love the outdoors, doing sports and I'm always up for an adventure :)
But I can also enjoy the quiet life with reading, listening to music or doing art, letting my creativeness bloom.
I wan to help and meet people who want to give back and help our nature. xInterests

I am very creative, I love doing and I'm quite good at anything where I can use my artistic abilities, whether it be DIY projects, design, painting etc. But I can also transfer these skills and due to added experience from school and helping my dad around the house, I am able to build things and do gardening, general handiwork.
I am very sociable and work great in a team. Since I see it as a necessity for good teamwork, I am of course very reliable and hardworking.
In terms of animals, I've now got a year worth of 24/7 work with and around animals. Through multiple Workaways I learned my way around mostly farm animals and pets, especially Horses, Dogs and Pigs. Due to working in rescue, I got to meet a lot of very special animals and learned how to take care of their special needs. I'm very confident and comfortable working with all the species I've meet so far but I'm also very happy and excited to discover and learn more about all the others :)
I am fluent in German and English (C2) and can teach both languages to some extend.
I have worked in summer camps several times, so I have some experience with children and I enjoy taking care, looking after or doing activities with them.Age

What else ...
I love reading in general but also about political issues, I am politically quite active and I like getting into discussions about these things.
Although I sadly don’t play an instrument myself, I am really passionate about music and could talk about it for hours. So naturally concerts are my favourite thing ever.
I’m always up for any kind of activity whether it be games, crafts or sports (especially football, i love playing and watching).
Even though I like being around people I can be a bit shy in the beginning but with the right people I open up very quicklySome more information
