Hi! I'm Leonardo (but you can call me Leo), I'm 25 and I'm from Bologna, Italy
I'm a person full of energies and a creative mind. I like arts in all of its shapes, since they give me the posibility to express myslef and my feelings in a real and original way. I love reading books, both novels and essays: i find in their pages wise cues and inspirational quotes to face real life problems.
Explaining what travelling means to me is impossibile in every language. I can only use one word to do it: everything. Some people only focus on their career, other people are obsessed with the idea of making money; I just want to see the world, since I'm strongly convinced it's a wonderful place.
Travelling is not only a passion or an hobby I perform when I have enough time, but it's the core of my entire life, and my vocation. I think we are all in this world for a reason: the reason why I'm here is because I was born to explore this world in all of its corners.
The purpose of my life, of course, is being happy. How can I be happy? Simply by doing what makes me happy: travelling! So my main goal is seeing the highest possible number of countries, while creating inspirational relationship with the local culture and the local people, living amazing and unforgettable adventures everyday.Interests

More details about your skills
I have college degree in Communication and Digital Marketing. I've worked as a Social media manager for 3 years now (currently I'm taking a short career break while traveling around South America), but I also have experience with Seo, Video and photo editing, Copywriting, Web Design and E-mail marketing. I'm a freelancer and I usually work for travel startups and companies, providing high quality content and advertising on social media.
I have experience in digital fundraising: I've collected more than 5 thousand euros in 6 months. Moneys were collected online while I was training, and running, the Athens Marathon in 2023. Donations were given to "Fondazione Italiana Diabete", an Italian foundation that take care of people living with diabetes - a disease I was diagnosed with in 2021.
I volunteered in hostels twice for several months during the pandemic, performing different tasks (mainly cooking, cleaning, welcoming/entertaining guests, helping out at the reception, night shift and managing social media).
During my studies I worked as a seasonal bartender and handyman at a Country Resort near Bologna, my hometown. I also have experience with kids (I used to teach them English in Italy to raise some money and fund my trips). I worked as a tour guide in the canarian islands (mainly Tenerife and Fuerteventura) for a travel company called Creative Harbour, taking guests around the islands and taking care of their needs during their time there.
I'm a very dynamic person and I'm always in to try something new. I can't wait to learn more during my experiences with Workaway!Age

What else ...
I love running, hiking and climbing. I always seek for new challenges and new ways to get out of my comfort zone and improve myself.
I'm a very dedicated, positive and happy person, always trying to carry out all my tasks at the best of my possibilities (often smiling eheh). I'm very friendly and easygoing, I love meeting new people and have deep conversations about life. Can't wait to meet you, too!
PS, I'm Italian, of course I can cook you some pasta
