Currently i am travelling through New Zealand to meet people and make friends from all over the world. Let's meet up, explore the region, have a beer, or all of the above.

Description

Hi, my Name is Leo, I'm 26 years old, once living in Berlin, Germany, now travelling through New Zealand.

I want to immerse myself in a more "simpler" lifestyle: being in and around nature, doing and learning handiwork like woodworking, taking care of animals and being engaged in helping the hosts and contributing to their community. In the beginning of the year i had an amazing Workaway experience in Norway, the delayed consequence of this being that i have now quit my job, travelled two months through eastern europe and am now in New Zealand until December 2024.

My interests are learning new knowledge and skills; conversing and sharing ideas about science and nature; music, films, photography and magic.

I'm organized, open to meet new people, eager to learn, humourous and knowledgable. I enjoy working in a team, but I'm also self reliant and can tackle tasks by myself.

Even if i don't have a certain skillset, i will certainly apply myself to the task at hand.
I deeply believe that as long as you are eager to learn, curious and engaged, you can be helpful and successful in succeeding at a certain task, even if you lack the "necessary" skills for it.

I am experienced in basic carpentry, painting, yardwork, cooking, working with pets and i enjoy woodchopping.
Since i am more of a burly type, i can help to carry and move heavy things.

I am fairly proficient in repairing and maintaining bicycles, which i have taught myself.

Furthermore i can help with explaining all things digital, i don't have a formal education in that field, but a general interest.

Additionally i have a german Abitur and a Bachelor of Arts in Filmmaking, a drivers license and a first responder certificate.

German is my mother tongue and i can speak English fluently, both of which i would be happy to teach!
