Hi there :)
my name is Leni and I am a 27-year old student who is currently spending a semester abroad in Lisbon studying political science. I will finish my master degree in September 2024 and then move back home to Augsburg, Southern Germany. To be honest, after eight years of studying and working in office jobs, I really crave physical labour, doing something with my hands that has a direct and visible result. I grew up in a pretty small village, surrounded by beautiful nature, and basically spent my entire childhood outside. When I started studying, I kind of lost that connection to nature, but I've always had a strong urge to reclaim it and learn new, non-digital skills. I am a family person who is happiest when surrounded by loved ones and people in general, but I also like to be alone, enjoy the silence and think (sometimes maybe a bit too much ;) ). I love children and animals and in Germany I am vegan (in Portugal I am vegetarian as it is difficult enough to follow a vegetarian diet here :D).
I'm looking forward to meeting new people, helping with their projects and learning more about them.

I have a bachelor's degree in linguistics, so languages are one of my passions. My mother tongue is German and I'd love to teach it to someone. I've lived in England and France for each half a year and always appreciate the opportunity to improve my skills and talk to native speakers. My Portuguese is still quite basic but estou a praticar :)

As mentioned in my profile description, my skills lie in the digital field, especially in the area of communication, as this is a big part of my studies at university. I also really enjoy speaking and learning different languages and cooking/baking. When it comes to gardening and building skills, unfortunately I don't have many skills to offer, but I am very eager to learn and improve in these areas so that I can be helpful.

I am quite an active person who likes to do yoga and go for long walks or hikes. I also love love looooove music. There is only one app I couldn't survive without (ok, maybe that's a bit too dramatic) and that is Spotify. Going to concerts is one of my biggest hobbies and I think I've been to over 50 by now. I love to sing myself, play the piano and have picked up the ukulele as a "Covid - I need a new hobby - instrument", but unfortunately play it pretty badly. In the colder seasons, I like to knit or do a puzzle listening to a good audio book or podcast. My favourite board game ever is "Ticket to ride", I could literally play it everyday.
