Hi! I'm Leilani, but I go by Lani. I'm 19. I love traveling, exploring, being out in nature, and learning about different cultures. I was born and raised in Hawaii, I love being outside, especially at the beach. Some of my hobbies include surfing, hiking/backpacking, reading, art, and baking. Im also interested in aviation and want to be a pilot. I want to live my life to the fullest and for me part of that is seeing and learning as much as I can. I want to travel to many different places around the globe in my gap year.

I am learning Spanish, I took Castilian Spanish classes in high school but they were online, I can read and understand spoken Spanish a fair amount but I can't speak very well. Im hoping to learn more by visiting Spanish speaking countries. I am fluent in English and German and have been speaking both my whole life. I have never really taught either but I can tutor and help others learn. I can also translate between the two.

One of my top skills is cleaning, I worked 3 years as a professional cleaner. I learned a lot of skills and for the last year was self employed which taught me responsibility, communication, and how to work with clients. I love the outdoors and have helped family with gardening since I was little, recently I have done some volunteering on a local farm so I have some understanding of farming/gardening and some skills. in the last year I have done some wildlife conservation work as well. I have also had some experience babysitting kids (not babies ) and working as a camp counselor for younger kids. I have also pet-sat cats and dogs. I love baking and cooking (often from scratch), Im not a chef though.
I'm a quick learner and hard worker, I'm crafty and have a lot of little miscellaneous skills
