I have just finished university and am hoping to spend some time travelling and experiencing different cultures before returning to the UK to start working as an engineer. I have done quite a lot of travelling in the past but I also spent 3 months volunteering in the Galapagos when I was 18, which I found to be a very different experience to travelling, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the culture of the island and really get to know local people. I am hoping that Workaway will give me an opportunity to recreate this experience, spending a longer period of time in order to really get to know and feel at home in a country far from my real home!

I am an outgoing and enthusiastic person and am always looking for an opportunity to get involved and help out. I have experience riding and caring for horses, as well as engineering and building/construction knowledge. I have also done a lot of work in hospitality and really enjoy cooking. I have a particular interest in Mexico, as I have not been to Central America before and I feel that Mexico has a very unique and interesting culture, as well as beautiful and varied landscapes and nature. I would also really like to practice my Spanish as much as possible to try and get close to being fluent.

I am have a Master's in Manufacturing and Mechanical engineering so am experienced and skilled with hands on construction and fabrication work.

I have worked in hospitality and therefore have good experience dealing with customers, as well as handling food and conducting cleaning/tidying

I have experience riding and caring for horses, as well as stable management and tack/equipment care

I enjoy cooking and would like to think of myself as a skilled home cook
