Hi there! My name is Lauren, and I am a 27-year-old freelance editor, tutor, and writer with a passion for exploring the world and experiencing new things. I have been fortunate enough to participate in several workaway opportunities before the pandemic, and I am excited to embark on new adventures once again. (I am 100% vaccinated.)

My previous workaway experiences have been incredibly varied, ranging from helping out on hobby farms and pet sitting, to assisting with campsite maintenance and bush health in Australia and New Zealand. These experiences were some of the most amazing in my life, and I can't wait to get started again. I have a BA in English and work as an editor, writer, and tutor, so English-related teaching and writing tasks would be my forte. However, in previous workaway experiences I have helped maintain permaculture and hobby farms, I've done some pet-sitting, and I've helped with various ecological restoration projects in Australia and New Zealand. I'm also happy to help out with cooking and any other tasks that may present themselves along the way!

I write stories in my spare time and have published a couple of fantasy novels--currently working on book 2 in a series. Writing stories is my passion and traveling helps me gather inspiration!
