Description
Hello :) My name is Laura I'm 21 years old and I come from Bratislava, Slovakia. I would describe myself as ambitious, free-spirit who likes to discover places and new things.
I have many interests, but my prefered ones are art, design and travelling. Since I was one year old I traveled with my family around the world including Australia/Asia/Europe and little of Africa.
Everywhere we went we always tried to fully live and got to know the locals, their food and culture. Each trip gave me a new perspective about people or about their life in general and I'm truly grateful for that.
Now I'm old enough to travel alone and I would like to continue on this by myself - travel and getting to know the real life of the local people, always learn new things and give them someting from myslef too.
I am currently living in Milan, Italy as a student since October 2022 and I am studying Interior design and architecture.
In Milan I am a part-time babysitter of multiple families from 1 to 5 kids and I am a part of agency of babysitters so you can count me as a responsible when it comes to taking care of your children.
Before moving to Milan, in summer 2022, I experienced my first workaway on a farm in Umbria, Italy. It was one of my greatest experience. Until now I am in contact with the host family and I visited them last summer as well.

When I was 16 I was an animator at a children camp. It was amazing experience because I love kids and I like to be around them. I grew up in an environment full of children so I have a good relationship with them. I am able to look after your children if you let me to. I'm still a student so I only experienced part-time jobs. For almost 3 years I've been working at a cinema which helped me with communication skills and work persistence as we work also overnight. I cannot leave without not having finished my work. I am very self-conscious about that one.

My dream is to have a small farm, growing my own crops, fruits or maybe wine.. Workaway is a great place to learn from people who already have a farm. I'm most keen on eco farms :)
But before that I would like to pursuit my career as an Interior Designer either around the world or in my home country.
I bring my film camera everywhere with me. But I only capture the most important and beautiful moments I want to remember. I am very social but I also like my own space. I like reading books, paint (some of my older paintings included in the pictures above), talk about music or history.
I like to be in a motion, I cannot do anyting all day, so if I get a work to be done I can assure you I will most likely...enjoy it. haha
