Description
Hi! I'm Laura, an adventure-loving Scottish university student. I'm here looking for new and exciting opportunities across the world.

My interests include hiking, running, rock climbing, Scottish Munro climbing. I love nature and have spent much of my life exploring the Scottish outdoors, so this year my goal is to explore the natural world of a new country (or continent!).
I am also a lover of music and books, always always ready to chat about this! :)

I am looking for experiences which will force me out of my bubble of comfort zone, and to challenge my own beliefs and routine. Be this through a spiritual opportunity, one of adventure, or simply immersing myself in the routine of a family life.

I always try to be a thoughtful, mindful, and easy going person, happy to chat and always ready to get stuck into anything. My previous work away experiences have been some of the truly beautiful moments in my life, and i'm excited and ready for the adventure and challenges waiting in the summer of 2023!

My most recent job was working as a sandwich maker in a cafe chain, so have extensive food (mostly sandwich!) prep skills, and understanding of food hygiene standards, customer service ect. I have also worked in a supermarket and charity shop, and so understand always working with customers efficiently and always with a smile on my face :)

For more practical experience; please note my previous work away feedback. Doing tasks such as gardening, painting, cleaning, cooking ect. Always love getting stuck in with anything with vigor and good spirits.

Despite only staying with Anna and Libor for such a short time, they treated me as a part of their family from the minute I stepped through the door. The work included general housekeeping, babysitting little ferdinand, a few hay-related projects in the barn, and animal feeding ect. All pleasant and relatively easy work.

The hosts were friendly, communicative, and fountains of knowledge on the beautiful surrounding area and were always willing to answer my questions on Eastern Orthodoxy.
