Hi! We are Laura and Arnot, we come from the Basque country of northern Spain but we love to travel, experience new cultures and learn new things.
We don't like the daily grind of doing the same thing every day, hence our interest in workaway!
We want to learn new skills, share our knowledge and expand our horizons, anything that isn't monotonous really inspires us to be creative and create the life we enjoy fully.

More details about my language interests
We are both fluent in Basque and Spanish and are happy to help people practice either language. Laura is a fluent English speaker with some experience as a teacher and Arnot has an intermediate level of English which he would like to improve. We both know a little French and Arnot is also interested in learning Italian.

We are open to learning new things. Laura grew up in the countryside and worked on a farm with cows, sheep and hens when she finished school. She has worked with adults with special needs whilst studying to become a social care worker, worked in a cafe, as an English teacher in the Amazon rainforest, Spain and Japan, as a museum tour guide and as a drama and movement therapist with people of all ages since completing her training in London in 2019.
Arnot studied broadcasting and spectacles, direction of photography and graphic design. He then worked on a TV sport news programme in Poland, many independent projects in Spain and a holiday home rental company in the UK. He has also been a street cleaner, local police assistant in town events and a security guard.

What else ...

We both enjoy board games and role playing games as well as watching movies and reading.
We are just as likely to go on a hike as we are to cuddle up on the sofa for the day, enjoying both the outdoors and the comfort of home.
Arnot is interested in fitness and nutrition, whilst Laura likes dancing, theatre and improving mental health through body and mind.
