Kia ora,

My name is Lara and I am a 23 year old half Kiwi, half German artist, designer, and outdoor adventure lover from New Zealand who is ready to take on the big wide world! I moved over to Germany a few months ago and am now looking to settle into a workaway for a longer period of time.

Here's a bit about me:

I can speak English and German and have a Bachelors degree in Design. I love being creative in whatever way I can, whether that be through painting, graphic design, photography, social media, or anything that involves communicating through images.

When I'm not creating, I am learning from my community and natural environment. New Zealand and it's unique ecosystem has given me a love and appreciation for the natural world and I am passionate about keeping it safe, healthy and beautiful. I love adventuring and being active in the fresh air.

It is important for me to learn and appreciate other peoples stories, cultures, and perspectives and for us to collaborate and work together towards a common goal. I love learning new skills and am eager to try my hardest at any and every task put in front of me.

I am excited to listen and learn from all your stories and cultures, and I can share my stories from my little island of New Zealand :)

I have recently finished my Bachelors degree in Design, focusing on graphic design, illustration, photography, and digital design. I have 3 years of experience working as a freelance designer and social media manager and love working on projects that can put my creative skills to use.

Growing up in New Zealand has given me a lot of experience on farms and in native bushland, encouraging me to learn more about the surrounding flora and fauna and how to better care for the land, and the plants and animals that call it home. I've worked in both agriculture and horticulture and in other physical labour jobs and am always keen to be outside, moving my body and lending a helping.

I have experience working with all types of animals and love hanging out with furry little friends. I grew up around dogs, cats, chickens, cows, horses, and all the native wildlife we have in New Zealand.

I find cooking and sharing a meal a very important part of building a community and strengthening our relationship with the environment. I enjoy and am confident being in the kitchen and in the garden and love trying new foods from different cultures.
