I’m particularly interested in experiences related to landscape architecture, such as planning, gardening, garden design, 3D modeling, or assisting with graphic design.

Description

Hello! I am Lara, a student of landscape architecture currently in my second year of a master’s program. I have always been captivated by landscapes, plants, geography, natural processes, nature conservation, as well as drawing, sketching, and design. Through Workaway, I seek inspiration by exploring diverse landscapes and engaging with people to gain new perspectives on the world around me.

I also have a deep love for animals; at home, we have a dog, cats, and a small farm. I enjoy working with animals in general (though I must admit I am a bit wary of snakes). Since childhood, I have enjoyed various crafts, from making macrame jewelry and wooden rings to creating clay products. My work experience as a student includes working in a carpentry workshop, facilitating children’s workshops, serving in a restaurant, working in a plant nursery, and contributing to planning projects.

Books are another passion of mine—I enjoy reading and discussing them, as well as having meaningful conversations with interesting people. Lately, I’ve been inspired by authors like Robert Greene (The Daily Laws, The Laws of Human Nature). I love connecting with people whose experiences and perspectives are different from mine, as it broadens my horizons and enriches my understanding of the world.

I am enthusiastic about combining my interests in nature, design, and craftsmanship to create meaningful and sustainable spaces. Having traveled a bit already, I’ve returned home each time enriched by experiences and friendships. I am excited to meet new people, learn something new, and share my perspective while discovering theirs.

My work experiences as a student include working:
-carpentry workshop (i know basics, sanding wooden surfaces, painting, use of basic tools)
-Children's Workshops (I have lead the DIY workshops and games in local comunity)
-serving in a restaurant (worked as a waiter for more than 4 years and for 2 years i have helped in the kitchen, i know how to cook (and enjoy it too) and i especially love to bake cakes and cookies)
-working in a plant nursery (I love plants, part of studying landscape arhitecture includes deep knowlade of spicies, how to care for them, making planting plans… I have worked for a year in plant nursery, where i I put theory into practice)
-Design (I have basic knowladge of AutoCAD, Rhino, Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop and Arc Gis)
-My family owns a dog, cats and we have a small farm (I love animals and I have experience in taking care of them)

In faculty we do a lot of group projects, where i lernt how to collaborate with others and in other jobs i have lernt how to work with people and also how to be independent.
