Hello!

My name is Danijel Kostelac.

Originally from Pula, Croatia.
Nice little coastal city at the very peak of Istrian peninsula. Relatively close to Italy, 1.5 hours drive to Trieste. Spent most of my life there.

Studied economics.
Economics in tourism.
Most of my working experience is related to tourism.
Started as a receptionist when I finished college.
Lived in Ireland for 2.5 years.
At one point got a little home sick and moved back to Croatia.
Worked in duty-free shop at the airport in Pula.
Also worked at the small boutique hotel in Fazana, small fishermen village, close to Pula.

Tried myself as a carpenter, mostly installing kitchens.
Worked at the sailing boats.
Maintenance, for a foreign owner.

Spent some time in France, Norway, and Romania.

What can I say...
I guess I love learning new things.

As far as my hobbies goes...
Sports.
Five a side football, bouldering, trail orientation running, cycling at the moment...
Don't drink or smoke.

Woud love to spend some time in one of the Scandinavian countries.
Or Netherlands...
Switzerland maybe...

I feel most most comfortable working in hospitality sector.
Worked as a receptionist, waiting tables and behind the bar. Mostly in hotels.
Wouldn't have nothing against learning new skills. Cooking interests me.
Making healthy vegan/vegetarian meals.
Always been practising a healthy lifestyle.

As I mentioned on my profile, lately I have been involved in different kind of industry.
Shipyards, working with metals, reading drawings, montage, welding.
Always been good with tools.
At least I always liked working with tools.

Grew up in rural area where I got used to agricultural work.
Even have a certificate of being licensed olive trees handler. (pruning, disease protection).

Maybe the most important thing to mention while describing myself is that I love learning new skills.
I'd like to learn a new language too.
Beside English I can speak a little bit of Italian and German too.

The thing that I miss the most while being away from home are my 2 dogs.
My parents dogs.
Pets.
I like company of animals.
I'll always prefer Workaway host with pets.
