Description

We're Kirsty and Dan, two friendly New Zealanders eager to explore volunteer opportunities. We have a diverse range of experiences and a shared love for travelling, outdoors, hiking, surfing, and connecting with people from diverse cultures.

We're drawn to Workaway because we want to try new experiences. We want to shake things up a bit, try new stuff, and create memories that'll stick with us forever. It's not just about travelling for us; we're keen to dive deep into local communities and get a taste of what life's like elsewhere.

We're excited about giving back to our hosts and sharing some awesome moments together.

We're planning to be in Central America and South America until mid December before moving to Vancouver, Canada. We would love to discuss any volunteer opportunities you might have, including any opportunities in Canada while we find out feet.

More details about your skills

Kirsty (32), originally from the UK, is a high school teacher by trade. She always puts her hand up to lead the outdoor experience camps and school sports teams. Other work experience includes front of house roles in cafes, restaurants and pubs, REP for school watersport holidays and a memorable ski season as a chalet host, which entailed; cooking, cleaning and managing a 9 man chalet.

Dan's (29) background is in management/finance. His journey has led him to various roles, from customer service, gardening, landscaping, tutoring and being a host at a hostel in Thailand. He enjoys hands-on projects, having built our campervan which we lived in whilst exploring our own beautiful backyard in New Zealand.

We're planning to be in Central America from August to October, currently with a lot of flexibility in our schedule. We would love to discuss any volunteer opportunities you might have available during that time.

Due to our flexibly in plans, we haven't entered countries and dates into Workaway.
