Description
Hi, I’m Kirsten from Germany. For the past few years I lived in Hamburg, but recently I decided to take a break from city life and travel. I really enjoy discovering new countries and cultures and learning from different ways of living.
I already have some experience with Workaway and Woofing. Most recently I stayed with an artist in Canada, where I helped her in the garden and with daily tasks, as her health wasn’t the best at the time. I really enjoy lending a hand and supporting people in their everyday life.
I’d describe myself as a calm and reliable person, a bit introverted, but always open to meeting new people. In my free time I like to do sports, take photos and spend time outdoors.
For me, Workaway is a wonderful way to connect with locals, experience a culture more deeply and gather new impressions along the way. I’m looking forward to helping out and learning from you!

More details about your skills
Over the years I’ve gathered quite a variety of skills and experiences that I enjoy bringing into Workaway stays. I like doing practical tasks such as painting walls, sanding or varnishing furniture, and I’m always happy to learn new DIY skills along the way. I also have a strong background in organization and admin work, since I studied Business Administration and worked as an accountant.
I’m fluent in both German (my native language) and English. I also have experience with children: I’ve worked as an Au Pair twice and often look after my nieces and nephews, so I feel very comfortable spending time with kids.
During my travels I’ve also worked on a farm in Australia where I took care of pigs and chickens, which gave me a good understanding of animal care. In general, I’m flexible and happy to help with gardening, household chores or wherever an extra pair of hands is useful.
