Hi, I’m Kevin, a passionate traveler eager to explore a new place ; Spain, immerse myself in its culture, and connect with people along the way. Originally from Belgium, I have a background in working at the television (10 years), tourism studies, administration, construction, and language teaching (French and English) for the last 6 years
Travel has always been a big part of my life. I grew up spending my summers camping across France, which sparked my love for adventure and exploration. I’ve also practiced several martial arts over the years, shaping my discipline and curiosity for different cultures. For the past six years, I’ve been living in Thailand, but now it’s time for a new chapter.
I am currently learning Spanish and planning to spend a few months in Spain for full immersion. What better way to do it than by staying directly with locals? I want to fully experience Spanish life, meet people, and live new adventures. Of course, learning the language is a key part of my journey.
I am married and have a 9-year-old child. We want to travel and discover the world together. For now, I'm going on my own, and if the experience is positive, in the future, we plan to do Workaway as a family to contribute to local communities while learning from them.
Spain appeal and interrest me not only for its culture, lifestyle, and traditions, but also for its breathtaking landscapes and, of course, its amazing food! I want to discover, taste, and even learn how to cook authentic Spanish dishes.
Ultimately, my goal is to start a project and stay in Spain for a while. This journey is the first step toward making that dream a reality.
Let me « quickly » share how my biggest travel journey started.
I had a friend who used to travel the world, but we lost contact for almost a decade. One day, I reached out, and we decided to meet. After a football game in France and a night of catching up, we shook hands at sunrise and decided to travel together around Asia.
1 ans 1/2 years passed. We started in Latvia, from Belgium, where I had my first couch surfing experience. Then we went to Russia, hitchhiked to Moscow, and traveled on the Trans-Siberian Railway to Mongolia. After a month there, we moved on to China, where I stayed with a local family in an off-the-beaten-path area. Then we explored Hong Kong.
I spent time in Thailand, first on Koh Chang, where I stayed longer than planned, then in Cambodia. After New Year's, I returned to Koh Chang, learned Thai massage, and embraced the island lifestyle. Then my friend returned to Belgium, marking the end of our travels together.
I decided to pursue my dream of training kung fu in China. After a tough but rewarding time at a school in the mountains, I returned to Belgium for a month, then continued my journey in China. I also spent seven months road-tripping in the Philippines, where I fell in love with the country and met my now-wife. After 10 years together, we get married , We also have a 9 years old son, Kade, as i mentionned earlier,
We eventually settled in Chiang Mai, Thailand, but for the past year, we’ve decided to change. We’re moving to Spain in a few months and are excited about this new adventure, having already started learning Spanish. It was a project we had in the past and we decided to put it in reality now.Interests

More details about your skills
For the past six years, I have been working as a teacher in Thailand, teaching English to kindergarten students. I also worked French in a language school, as well as private tutoring on site and online. I have experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and adapting teaching methods to different age groups.
Before that, I worked for three years in the construction field, such as plumbing, woodworking, and tiling. While I may be a bit out of practice, I still have a solid understanding of these skills and enjoy hands-on work. I did a lot of small different jobs ..
I also enjoy outdoor activities, manual labor, and gardening.Age

What else ...
I enjoy sports like hiking and jogging, and I have practiced various martial arts in the past.
I love board games, miniature war games and role-playing games—I used to play weekly with a group of friends. I'm also a fan of video games and movies.
I like exploring new places wherever I stay, whether on foot or by motorbike during road trips.
At the same time, I also appreciate calm moments—relaxing in a hammock with a book sounds great to me.
I enjoy cooking from time to time, but I’d love to learn more with some guidance. Some more information
