  • Description

I’ve been working as a legal professional in big law for the past five years, but I’m now planning to take a break before starting an LLM program in Frankfurt in October 2025.

Although my day-to-day life has revolved around office work, I’ve always sought to balance it with other passions. In early spring 2024, some friends and I bought and renovated a bar in Copenhagen (https://www.instagram.com/tovecph/). It’s been a really fun and rewarding project that involved solving both administrative and hands-on challenges. I like to think of myself as a "deep social thinker," staying positive and solution-oriented when faced with obstacles.

I come from a family of farmers and craftsmen. One of my grandfathers is a retired blacksmith, while the other was both a fisherman and a cattle farmer. My brother and I spent many school holidays helping out with farm work, which taught me the value of hard work and adaptability. My parents continued this hands-on lifestyle by keeping chickens and taking us on fishing trips. A few years ago, they even bought an apple and pear orchard, where I’ve helped with everything from farm work to selling produce at farmers’ markets in Copenhagen.

For the past decade, I’ve lived in the city, but I’m starting to feel the pull to reconnect with nature and slow down. Taking this career break feels like the perfect opportunity to explore a different way of living before returning to my studies and career.

  • What else ...

I’m a passionate cooking enthusiast and love preparing meals for friends and family whenever I have the chance. Every New Year’s Eve, I take on the challenge of cooking a four-course menu for 10-18 people, and I’m happy to say it’s always well-received!

Beyond cooking, I’m a lover of music, art, reading, and football (watching, not playing—haha). I’m also an avid runner, having completed multiple half marathons, and I proudly finished my first marathon in May 2024.
