Hey, my name is Karla and I'm from Germany. I'm 19 years old and I graduated from school in spring. Now I want to travel as much as possible! I grew up travelling, with a bus and with camping, also hosting travellers in our home. I am very grateful to my parents that I have been able to travel much from a young age. Now I'm looking forward to travelling alone and getting to know lots of people, new cultures and languages. I love nature and love to go to find swimming places, I am also very interested in culture: I act in the theatre, dance and sing. I am open to new things and want to try out and learn as much as possible!

I have been babysitting children for 7 years. I've also been working at the "Erfahrungsfeld der Sinne" for three years, where I've given guided tours. I went to a Montessori school, so I had the opportunity to get a taste of many professions through internships: day nursery, kindergarten, school, after-school care centre, confectionery, bakery, project artist, sign language interpreter, web design, shoemaker, workshop for the disabled, clay and textile artist.
I also worked one month in a school near Barcelona in Spain.
As student representative, I have also organised and planned many projects.
From September to December 2024 I lived as an AuPair with a family in Chile for 3 months. Additionally during my time there, I helped out in a cafe and in a language school. There I organised and held group lessons for kids and teens, mostly organising activities and workshops.
I am open for every opportunity and ready to learn!

The concept is based on the self-initiative of all volunteers, there are no "supervisors" but you still don't feel left alone, as Majo is always super easy to reach and you can always turn to Luana on site. She was always there for us!
