Hello! My name is Justin, and I’ve been living in Valencia since October. I’m passionate about travel and immersing myself in different cultures, which led me to move here to teach English at a primary school in a small pueblo outside of Valencia. I’m also devoted to learning the beautiful Spanish language along the way! Since I'm working as an Auxiliar del Conversación in a school, I have a free summer season and looking to fill that time with some good work and adventure.

At university, I majored in Musical Theater, driven by my longtime dream of singing, dancing, and acting. I spent four years studying and performing professionally, eventually living in New York for a year to further pursue my career. However, during the pandemic, I realized I wanted a different path. I moved back to my hometown of San Diego, California, to be closer to family and discovered a deep love for interior design and woodwork. During that time, I worked at an interior design firm, sold handmade wooden furniture, completed home passion projects, and ultimately started my own business in home renovations.

Now, four years later, I decided to spend a while abroad to focus on my Spanish, travel, and explore new cultures. I do, however, miss the creative outlet of building furniture, working on home projects, designing, and gardening.One of my most memorable projects was building a multi-level garden with raised beds and irrigation at my parents’ house, which sparked a deep love for the process. I’m excited to connect with people while bringing my diverse passions into new experiences!

Throughout my life, I have explored many different passions which comes with many different skillsets and knowledge bases. I have extensive experience and interest in woodwork, basic home renovation processes like painting walls, installing tiles, etc, and interior design. Additionally, I spent considerable time building a large garden where I learned about preparing land and growing crops, in ways that are both beautiful and of course functional. I also just love plants and flowers in general. I also have a big passion for digital sketches and models of spaces for designs, which ranges from basic floor plans and space planning to 3D renderings.
I enjoy working both on teams and alone, being both self sufficient and collaborative depending on the project. I'm open!

What else ...

If there is a body of water, it will be hard for me to not get in no matter the season or temperature. The ocean, a lake, a pool, anything! I also love board/card games, cooking, and watching a good movie!
