Hello!

I'm 33 years old, born and raised in Canada and currently living in Victoria, BC.
My interests include traveling, playing music, personal development and self growth, cooking food, hosting friends, reading and learning new skills, meeting new and interesting people and volunteering!

I have lived in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and have backpacked through S.E Asia and Central America throughout my 20's.

I currently work for a property maintenance company cleaning windows on high-rise buildings in Victoria. During our seasonal break (Jan/Feb/Mar) I enjoy volunteering in my community, exploring the island in my camper van, and hiking & snowboarding when I'm out in the mountains. Spending this time helping a Workaway host feels like a great way to learn useful skills while traveling and connecting with interesting people from my own country! I'm interested in learning more about Gardening, Farming, Permaculture, Building and Construction and Self Sufficiency.

Shifting my perspective on what is possible by experiencing the kinds of lifestyles others have made for themselves is something I hope to achieve with this experience.

I have worked a wide variety of jobs throughout my travels in the hospitality industry including serving, preparing and cooking food, working events and weddings. I also have experience working in the trades over the years including sheet metal work, some carpentry, some concrete work, and my current work as a high-rise property maintenance rope tech.
I'm handy, competent, and keen to work and learn! Friends and colleagues would describe me as a hardworking and enthusiastic team member. I'm always curious to learn and connect with new people from all walks of life.

I enjoy playing cards and learning new card games - Cribbage is a favorite!
Billiards, darts and other table games are great too.
I would like to get better at sewing, pottery, and building projects and am interested in trading book recommendations!
