Hello!
My name is Julia, and this will be my first experience with workaway! I am a recent college graduate on a gap year looking to discover new things about the world and myself. So far I have been traveling with friends, and I spent 3.5 months working as a waitress in a restaurant in the Netherlands. For the spring, I am hoping to embark on some adventures with workaway! I am looking for workaway opportunities mostly in Europe as I am lucky enough to have a European passport thanks to my Dutch father.
I grew up in a small mountain town in Colorado in the US, but in 2021-22 I lived in the south of France and absolutely loved it! That experience really opened my eyes to how big this beautiful earth is and how much there is to explore. I'm at an age that often involves a lot of self-reflection, uncertainty and change, which can be daunting, but I want to take the opportunity to notice the unique freedom of this point in my life and approach the uncertainty with excitement and gratitude. Like many recent graduates, one of the most valuable things I have learned is how much I still don't know, so I am excited to try on new roles and perspectives with an open mind, an open heart, and an enthusiastic attitude!Interests
