Hi, I'm Jule and I live in the beautiful city of Hamburg in the north of Germany. I've just quit my job as an event manager and I'm super excited to spend a year in Central and South America. Two years ago, I started doing backpacking trips around Europe on my own, and I loved it! I really enjoy exploring new places, taking in all the new sights, colours and lights and getting to know new people and cultures.
I'm a pretty open-minded and warmhearted person, always keen to learn and always up for a joke.Interests

I studied Spanish at school for seven years, but it's been a long time and I've hardly used it since. This must change!! ;) I would absolutely love to improve my Spanish while I'm travelling around South and Central America. I studied Latin at school, which has really helped me understand grammar in general. I am very good in German grammar and am pretty sure that I can teach it well. I don't speak English at a native level, but I can definitely teach beginners and advanced beginners a lot.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

More details about your skills
I am a trained restaurant specialist and have studied hotel and hospitality management. I have over ten years of experience in the hospitality and events industry, and it's really shaped who I am.
I am an excellent waitress and host, as well as very talented in planning and managing events. For the last three years, I managed an event location and was the personal assistant to the managing directors. It tought me a lot about entrepreneurship, self-management and the German bureaucracy (-.-).
For the past year, I have been volunteering as a mentor to a little girl from a refugee family. I meet with little Samya once a week to spend time with her, help her and, most importantly, have fun. I get twice as much as I give. I love kids and it's great to see the world through their eyes.Age

What else ...
I'm currently doing a distance learning programme to become a cultural manager. I have to invest about 10 hours a week for this. In addition to the basics, I'm focussing on financing in the cultural sector through fundraising and sponsorship.
