Description
We are Joop (27) & Iris (24), we are from the Netherlands, and we are hoping to find a place abroad to work. People describe us as caring, open-minded and loving! We are calm and maybe a little quiet, but we are also adventurous and curious.
We are on a search to find what we want to do and who we want to be, which is why we are eager to learn more from other people!
After studying social work and game development, Joop has had a bunch of different jobs. At 27, he quit his job as Artificial Intelligence developer in order to travel. While not yet knowing what he wants to do, he has always had an interest in travel. This interest intensified while he worked in a hotel, meeting all sorts of different people and learning about different cultures. Other hobbies are cooking, long walks in nature and reading books. Interests include philosophy, spirituality, design and off-grid living. He also has a keen interest in Buddhism.
After finishing high school, Iris studied childcare and development. However, she soon realized she wanted to follow a more creative path. Trying to find her way in the creative world, she has finished a degree in fashion product management. From her experience in the fashion industry, she developed an interest in small business and sustainability.
As of today, Iris started working on her skills within the spectrum of jewellery crafting and is interested in learning about new techniques and materials. Especially if it contains recycled goods!
Both Joop and Iris have an interest in history, religion and different cultures.
Other interests include plants, foraging, animals and (learning) general maintenance skills.
We are very all round and would love to do more!

Iris has great organizational skills and is very crafty. She is a jack-of-all-trades, except for maths and electrical engineering.
Joop is good at cooking, has good digital skills, and has problem solving skills.
We are both good with animals and we're hands on people. We don't like to just talk about a task, we need to just do it!
Above all, we are very eager to learn new things and we are quick to pick up on things that need to be done. We are strong and very enthusiastic!
We can also help out with painting, repairing and housekeeping. We are also a very open and positive bunch; people find it easy to talk to us.
We are both native speakers in Dutch, we are both fluent in English. We can teach the Dutch language/ culture as well!
