Hi everyone,

We are Jonny and Cherkanah (but you can call me Karn!) - two experienced travellers from London/Brighton. We are about to embark on our biggest adventure yet, travelling the length of Africa from Cape Town to Cairo!

We're travel addicts and together, we have visited countries such as Philippines, Mexico & India. In the new age of social media, we love being able to document our trips via our travel Instagram account.

We're using Workaway to gain experiences outside the norm and to immerse ourselves in the local culture, as well as, applying our knowledge to help local communities and of course to learn lots from them in return. We're extremely open minded, curious and adventurous people, always up to try new things and learn new skills.

We've stayed in over a 100 hostels around the world and have a dream of creating our own backpacker hostel so are really keen to volunteer in hostels, guest houses (any form of accommodation really) to gain insight into the industry.

Jonny has had many different jobs including teaching English abroad, customer facing roles and most recently being a London bus driver! "I like to keep life fresh and exciting."

Karn is a born performer, she loves to sing and dance and also has extensive hospitality experience, working at The Shard in London. "Bring on the real life Lion King adventure."

What else ...

We love being by the beach and in all forms of nature, we also have pet dogs and adore all animals.

We're both very active and Jonny loves running, surfing, skiing, skateboarding & cycling. I also am a huge movie buff! Karn loves pilates, hiking, paddle boarding and just being a beach bum!
