A sense of community is of utmost importance to me

As I’m writing this I’m staying on Kauai and I went swimming today with my awesome workaway host Steve and saw a little sting ray and a school of fish. I love experiences like this.

Now in my life I am exploring different cultures, getting inspired, learning about how to be human and meeting phenomenal lifelong friends. Before this I was following the suggested path of university which didn’t work out at that moment. After I quit university I became a professional cook, learned about how incredible and also stressful the cooking culture can be. Next I trained and became a certified massuese fueled by my interest in the body and mind. I wanted to learn how to treat our body and mind the best to keep them healthy and happy. While working I added a job as a preschool assistant for fun because I wanted to learn from the kids how they are so stoked on life, excitable, and authentic. This got to be a lot of work having 1 job to pay the bills and 1 job for fun. So I learned I can do the thing I wanted to do the most which was travel and be able to work 4 hours a day in exchange to do it for free. It’s been life changing and eye-opening, I’m grateful for workaway and all the lovely people.
