Hello, my name is Jonas, I am 19 years old and come from Germany. I live in a family of five with 2 brothers (One at the age of 15, the other at the age of 21).

A year ago I started studying biotechnology, but at some point I realised that this degree programme is not for me, so I dropped out. At the moment I'm in a phase where I don't know what my next steps should be, so I decided to travel via Workaway to learn more about myself, meet nice people, and learn new skills, especially in the practical field, as I don't have much experience here yet.

I tend to be more of a calm person, but I am very curious about the world, and try to always be friendly, empathetic and humorous with those around me. I love the outdoors, and would like to work mostly outside, such as gardening, construction projects, or working with animals, but am excited to learn / perform any given task!

I like sports, especially team sports, like volleyball, basketball, football... I especially like music, both listening to music (everything from modern pop and rock to older music), and making music myself (I play drums, a tiny bit of guitar, and have played cello for a long time), i have even tried to learn to compose a little, but so far it doesn't work very well :). I also spend a lot of time reading, or sometimes just meeting with friends and doing something outside.

I am always happy when there is an opportunity to try or learn something new and I am always motivated. So far, I haven't had any major experience in particular, but I have helped on occasions, for example, to build a raised bed for plants, been out to harvest strawberries a few times, and have been able to pick up a few things in my studies, even if the time there was rather short, such as a few basics in programming in C++. I also did shifts at warehouses, where ive sorted stuff. I like to help in kitchen or to cook, when i have the time. I am fit and happy to lend a hand wherever I go, and am able to learn new things if they are explained to me.

What else ...

First of all, i want to travel to France in November for around one and a half months, to get to know the culture and the language, and to try out the concept of Workaway. If it suits me, i may want to continue further travelling.
