  • Description

Hi! My name is Joana, nice to meet you all :)

I love traveling, discovering new places, different cultures and meeting people and their particular ways of seeing the world.

Two years ago I traveled around Europe as a workawayer, and it was the best experience I've ever had. I learnt a lot, about people, countries, cultures, and also a lot of myself! It's amazing how freedom can teach you that much.

Now that I have again some time I am planning my next trip: the destination I have been dreaming about all my life, Japan.

Since I was a child I have been marveled by Japanese culture. Their philosophy and believes, literature, gastronomy, cinema and all other types of audiovisuals, music, language, etc.

It’s time to make that dream come true!

  • More details about your skills

I am a Physics and Maths teacher, so I have kind of deep knowledge in this subjects and, of course, things related by teaching itself. I studied Physics at Barcelona’s University, specializing in Applied Physics and I started my master's degree to qualify as a teacher.

I also love doing things with my hands, so I love crafts. I have worked a bit with wood, but I am more into painting and drawing. I can also play a bit ukulele and I love gardening. Where I live I have a urban garden and is so wonderful to see the vegetables grow. I can cook, too.

I worked for a charity project running their social media and organizing events, so I know a bit about event organization, graphic design, website creation and programming. I also worked in customer service at a cafe, a restaurant, a hostel, and a book shop.

In my free time I write, mostly novels, and I hope to be able to publish some day. In my journeys I used to get inspiration for my writtings and I keep a travel journal.
