Description
Hi there 😊
Thank you for visiting my profile!
My name is Jessie and I was born and raised in Berlin.
In April 2022 I started my first working holiday in Australia and I enjoyed every minute of it.
After spending a few months at home, I desired to go abroad again and take the opportunity to do another working holiday before it's too late - this time in NZ.
I worked as an Aupair in Auckland for 2 months (April-June) and then ended up spending the winter in Bali and Australia.
I'd love to find workaway opportunities for October and November.
I am always keen to try new things and getting insights into other lifestyles (especially before possibly settling down somewhere permanently with a full-time teaching job).
Have a lovely day!
Jessie

WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Teaching: I studied high school education (subjects: English and Geography) at Goethe University in Frankfurt and got my master’s degree in 2020. In addition to some work experience at a high school, I worked at an elementary school. The first time I worked at an elementary school, I was appointed to children with learning disabilities and special needs. I helped them with maths, German and other subjects. The last few months, I mainly taught English in grade 3, 4 and 6 and took over sick teachers’ classes.
- Customer Service: When I was on my working holiday in Australia, I mostly worked as a receptionist at a busy hostel (YHA) in Brisbane and Cairns as well as at a 4-star hotel in Sydney. I enjoyed meeting travellers from all around the world and recommending or selling tours and trips to them.
- Childcare: I am used to casual babysitting/ nanny jobs (children aged 4-11) and in 2015 I spent 2,5 months in Australia as some sort of Au-Pair (2 kids, ages 8 and 10), which I absolutely loved. I still keep in touch with them and as I am visiting them just before flying to Auckland.
- Animal Care: I did some dog/housesitting in Australia and regularly took care of my neighbours’ cats. I quickly learn how to read animals and love spending time with them / training them.
However, I am also very interested in wildlife conservation. I am obsessed with all kinds of animals and my biggest pleasure is taking pictures of the ones that I encounter while travelling.Interests
