Hello,

We are a couple (29 and 30 years old) from Belgium. We are passionated about sports (biking, trekking, yoga, running, tennis) and nature. We have interest in organic farming and gardening. We also love cooking, reading and singing. Sophie is playing the harp. We do not eat meat and are concerned about fighting climate change at our own level.

We are in love with travelling and have done quite a few backpack trips already. Jerome has lived for a few months in Spain and Indonesia. Sophie has lived in Buenos Aires for a few months and one year in London.

We are both outgoing, caring, curious and optimist persons. We will be travelling in New Zealand for a few months as from 21 November 2022. We have both left our jobs (Sophie was a lawyer and Jerome an HR consultant) and want to take a few months to travel, meet locals, discover the local culture and learn new skills !

1. Customer service & events organizer

Having worked for a year at Decathlon Belgium as a Department manager, I learnt a lot about customer service and listen to what the customer expects.


2. Gardening/ woofing and general maintenance

I worked a couple of weeks for a gardening company and I usually trimmed the hedge and mowed the lawn
I went from Brussels to Lac Leman in Switzerland by bike and did some woofing there where I worked in gardens for a few weeks. I loved this experience, and I'm developping a keen interest in working in gardens.
I also have experience in painting.

Sophie loves farming and gardening.
