Hi there! A little bit about us… We both have a professional background in wildlife biology/environmental sciences and switched gears to begin traveling abroad about a year and a half ago. My partner (Jennifer) and I have found we like to travel slowly, staying in one place longer at a time and having more intimate experiences in the places we explore. We have been a part of several different work exchanges over the past year and thoroughly enjoyed our time, so we have decided to join Workaway. Part of our motivation to travel is to participate in work exchanges with the people living in and connected to the country we are to visit. We find those experiences have a lasting impact on our souls. We look forward to the opportunity to connect with other people from different cultures and share perspectives on life.

Hi there! We love spending time with people, animals, and nature. We enjoy incorporating parts of travel where we can help in a sustainable and meaningful way.

J: I have over 10 years of experience working with people of all ages in spaces that encourage the understanding and appreciation of the natural world. This includes work at environmental non-profits; managing staff and leading volunteer events for restoration and clean up activities, working with children in environmental science and outdoor education, and working with animals in care and rescue. I have also been trained in commercial vehicle driving, safe boat operation, and wilderness first aid. I have extensive experience working outdoors in a variety of conditions. I enjoy active tasks and love to learn and share new skills. In my free time I enjoy gardening, water activities, and hiking.
