My name is Jamie, I'm from the UK and am currently figuring out next steps.

I'm really interested in sustainable living, be that organic growing, green construction, green energy, anything really! I'm excited to meet like-minded people, share skills and learn more about your country.

I'm looking to stay somewhere for 4+ weeks to have chance to settle in and get to know you, the area and the work I'll be doing.

I'm always up for learning new skills so happy to muck in wherever needed. All of my previous farming experience has been in horticulture, so working with animals would be a new experience but something I'm very keen to learn about.

I've worked as an Organic grower for 3+ years so know a good amount about everything that goes into it - weeding, landscaping, sowing seeds, harvesting, bed prep, as well as the philosophy and science behind it. I've been on an agroforestry design course which taught me about using permaculture principles to create edible food forests. Have a bit of experience grafting trees too.

Also have lots of experience working with wood, building floors, roofs, decking, furniture and such and am competent with most of the associated power tools.

I've helped design and build large ponds, low impact buildings, greenhouses usually using reclaimed and repurposed materials.

I'm physically fit and used to working hard outside so am keen to get stuck in and help out with whatever needs doing. I'm really keen to learn new skills and happy to share knowledge!
