Hi, I am Jacques, a 24-year-old German who recently finished his studies and an internship in the Netherlands. I have previously travelled in South-East Asia, Australia and Europe. I am a relaxed and always motivated person who loves to meet new people. I also really enjoy philosophizing with people, especially if they have a different opinion than I do. Other than that I fancy reading (mainly non-fiction), drawing from time to time (still an amateur though), doing Calisthenics and Yoga and having good food. At home, I cook vegan for myself because of sustainability reasons, but when travelling I am on a vegetarian diet (unless there are good vegan options). Finally, sleep is very important to me, I can only be at my best if I get 7 to 8 hours every night :D.

Hola, soy Jacques, un alemán de 24 años que acaba de terminar sus estudios y unas prácticas en los Países Bajos. Anteriormente he viajado por el sudeste asiático, Australia y Europa. Soy una persona relajada y siempre motivada a la que le encanta conocer gente nueva. También me gusta mucho filosofar con la gente, sobre todo si tienen una opinión diferente a la mía, así que prepárate para largas charlas si pasas tiempo conmigo. Aparte de eso, me gusta leer (sobre todo libros de no ficción, Orwell es mi favorito por ahora), dibujar de vez en cuando (aunque sigo siendo una aficionada), hacer calistenia y yoga y comer bien. En casa, cocino comida vegana por razones de sostenibilidad, pero cuando viajo sigo una dieta vegetariana (a menos que haya buenas opciones veganas). Por último, dormir es muy importante para mí, sólo puedo dar lo mejor de mí si duermo entre 7 y 8 horas cada noche :D.

I speak English (C1), German (native), Dutch (C1) and a little French (A2, very rusty) and Spanish (A1, just started for this trip). I have done all kinds of work, from working on a production line in Germany (so I know how to work at a proper speed ;) ), construction work and farming bananas in Australia, to volunteering in France and Australia (which consisted mainly of gardening and cleaning, fencing, ...). I also worked in bicycle delivery in the Netherlands. Furthermore, I worked in a Hostel in Australia for around 2 weeks. I studied and worked for a bit in Computer Science in the Netherlands, so if you have computer problems, I am confident we can find a solution together. I have learned 2 new languages up to working proficiency now, so I can definitely contribute to language learning as well :)

Hablo inglés (C1), alemán (nativo), holandés (C1) y un poco de francés (A2, muy oxidado) y español (A1, acabo de empezar para este viaje). He hecho todo tipo de trabajos, desde trabajar en una cadena de producción en Alemania (así que sé trabajar a una velocidad adecuada ;) ), trabajos de construcción y cultivo de plátanos en Australia, hasta voluntariado en Francia y Australia (que consistía principalmente en jardinería y limpieza, vallado, ...). También trabajé en el reparto de bicicletas en los Países Bajos. Además, trabajé en un albergue en Australia durante unas 2 semanas. Estudié y trabajé un poco en Ciencias de la Computación en los Países Bajos, así que si usted tiene problemas informáticos, estoy seguro de que podemos encontrar una solución juntos. He aprendido 2 nuevos idiomas hasta la competencia de trabajo ahora, así que definitivamente puedo contribuir al aprendizaje de idiomas, así :)

My travel habits are mainly staying in hostels and travelling by train or bus, but I am always open for new experiences and would love to hear your ideas on how to experience the adventure called life in a fully new way ;D.
