  • Description

Hello! We are Jacqueline and Jesse, twin sisters (23) from Malaysia with a passion for travel and a positive, active lifestyle. We study Master's in Economics and Data Science and have been in the UK for 2 years!

We've had the incredible opportunity to visit 27 countries, which has fueled my curiosity and love for experiencing new cultures. What truly motivates me is the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds and to make a positive impact wherever I go. I thrive on new experiences and challenges, and I find joy in the little things—whether it's learning a new language, trying a new dish, or simply having a meaningful conversation with someone.

Exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures is what I live for. Each new destination teaches me something unique and broadens my perspective on the world. I've been actively involved in student communities like AIESEC and the Formula Student Club. These experiences have taught me the value of teamwork, leadership, and the importance of contributing to the community. Volunteering brings me immense happiness. During my college years, I achieved a Diamond ranking for volunteering more than 100 hours per year. I believe in giving back and making a difference, no matter how small. I have a natural affinity for working with children. From babysitting my cousin sister to engaging with kids as a summer volunteer with Wise in Scotland, and teaching sports in a primary school in Nottingham, I've found joy and fulfillment in these interactions.

I speak English, Chinese, German, Malay, and Cantonese, which helps me connect with a diverse range of people. As a former Vice President of AIESEC, I led a team of 10 people, honing my leadership and communication skills. I'm not afraid of hard work, and I love being active and social. I enjoy taking on various tasks and doing them to the best of my ability.

Traveling to 27 countries and participating in various international programs have made me very self-reliant. I am comfortable making decisions independently and handling any challenges that come my way. My experiences living abroad, such as my year-long student exchange in the UK, have helped me become highly independent. I can adapt to new environments quickly and efficiently.

Leading a team in AIESEC and managing multiple volunteering projects have enhanced my decision-making skills. I am able to assess situations, consider options, and make informed choices. I value honesty and integrity in all my interactions. Being polite and respectful is second nature to me, and I believe in treating everyone with kindness and fairness. Whether it's through volunteering or daily interactions, I am always ready to lend a hand. Helping others and making a positive difference is what brings me the most joy.

Happiness for me is about connection and contribution. Whether it's through volunteering, working with kids, or simply making a new friend while traveling, I find joy in making a positive impact. I believe that through understanding and helping others, we enrich our own lives.

I'm looking forward to connecting with hosts and fellow Workawayers, and to continue my journey of learning, sharing, and growing together!
