Hi! We are Max and Jackie! Our friends would describe us as adventurous and outdoorsy. Most of our free time is spent camping or taking impromptu road trips to explore. We are hoping to use work away to get a more authentic experience as we travel and are wanting to do some time of farm stay.

A few fun facts about Jackie:
- I work in Marketing for a meditation/mindfulness app called Calm in San Francisco, CA, and enjoy yoga, hiking with my dog, and DIY projects in my free time
- I studied abroad in Florence for a year in university (my Italian could use some practice!)
- I am a certified yoga teacher
- I grew up on a mini-farm. I had about 26 pets in total including horses, rabbits, dogs, cats, etc. but my neighbors had cows, pigs, goats, and peacocks. I love anything that has to do with animals and would love to work with them again.
- I have been to 34 countries
- My lifelong dream has been to own a sustainable farm and produce olive oil

A few fun facts about Max:
- I program robots for a biotechnology company in Oakland, CA, and like to climb and backpack in my spare time.
- I was a Park Ranger for a National Forest in New Mexico. I taught groups of backpackers how to avoid being eaten by bears or struck by lightning in the woods.
- I volunteer for animal shelters doing all sorts of odd jobs. Sometimes I walk dogs, sometimes I help catch feral cats.

Both of us have experience with animal care and manual labor, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn anything.

Along with growing up doing farming household tasks, Jackie also worked with Elephant rescue groups in Thailand, managing the care of the animals and the farming/prep of their food.

Max worked as a Park Ranger, leading and teaching groups outdoor survival skills, search and rescue skills, and wilderness/emergency first aid.

We are looking to improve our Italian language speaking fluency during our travels.
We are also very passionate about food and love to cook, and are always excited to learn new recipes from every country we visit!
