Hi! Hola!
I´m Irene, I'm 33 years old and I live In Vitoria-Gasteiz, a beautiful city in the Basque Country (Spain). I´m a hard-working, optimistic, responsible and sociable person who is looking forward to working as a volunteer.

STUDIES AND CAREER
I am an English teacher at a high school in my hometown. I have had different experiences teaching Spanish and English. These last two years I've been teaching Basque and Spanish to students who come to the Basque Country from different parts of the world (Nigeria, Guinea, Ghana, Colombia, Venezuela, Pakistan...). It's hard because of their life experiences, but also very enriching.

HOBBIES

I love learning, reading, taking care of my plants, drawing, spending time with my friends, travelling, meeting new people and learning about other cultures with respect. I like doing sports: doing yoga, going for a walk, hiking, swimming...

Three years ago I started doing SPORTS CLIMBING and I'm in love with it!! I have discovered a new way of travelling and being more in contact with nature.

ABOUT BEEING A VOLUNTEER

I have already done three workaways: the first one was in a farm in England; the second experience was at a hostel in Greece and the third at a hostel in Italy.

I love doing workaways, as they give you the opportinity of meeting new people, learning about different cultures, learning new skills...I cannot wait for my next workaway!

ASIER

I might be travelling with mu husband: Asier. He is a Phylosophy teacher. He is 31 years old and has a very good English level. He likes yoga, climbing, music, playing chess...He is a very good cook!

He is interested in learning about gardening, bulding and permaculture, and he wants to restore and old house he has bought.
