Description
Hi there,
My name is Nick. I’m 27 years old and grew up in Liechtenstein, a small country nestled between Switzerland and Austria. With a Maltese mother, I’ve had the privilege of being bilingual in German and English from a young age.
In 2018, I visited Thailand for the first time and immediately fell in love with the country. Since then, I’ve been drawn to Asia, returning whenever I can. I’m a trained computer scientist with skills in website creation, design, development, and general IT support. Beyond tech, I’m also happy to assist with DIY projects and other hands-on tasks.
Last year, I spent the entire year traveling the world and gaining new experiences. During this time, I worked at a dive school focusing on reef conservation, assisted at a resort with customer service and webdesign, worked on a farm in Australia, and even took on a role as an au pair in Australia, looking after three children (ages 14, 5, and 3).Interests

Work experience
I've had diverse and exciting work experiences. It all started at a local ISP where I gained a solid IT foundation. After four years, I embarked on my first Southeast Asia adventure.
When I returned, I worked at a bank for a while before going on an epic road trip across the United States. Later, I joined an EDI company, expanding my knowledge and skills.
Travel experience
Traveling has been one of the most transformative aspects of my life. Over the past year, I had the incredible opportunity to explore the world and immerse myself in diverse cultures, primarily through Workaway experiences. Each destination offered a unique adventure and valuable lessons.
I worked at a reef conservation center, where I gained a deeper appreciation for marine ecosystems and contributed to preserving delicate underwater habitats. At a resort, I combined my technical skills with hospitality, helping with guest services and redesigning their website. In Australia, I embraced versatility—working on a farm, performing hands-on tasks, and later taking on the role of an au pair, caring for three children and becoming part of their family.
My journey continued in Indonesia, where I taught English in a small school, connecting with students and learning about their way of life. In Japan, I embraced my creative side, helping renovate a ski lodge nestled in the mountains.
