Description

Hey :) My name is Lia, I'm 20 years old and from Bremen in northern Germany. I am currently on a gap-year between high school and uni and am using my time to see a some parts of the world :)

While travelling I like to connect to as many locals as possible; I am more interested in culture and nature than in any of the other typical tourist stuff. Workaway seems to be a great tool to exchange skills for a more down to earth way of travelling. I have tried workaway twice already and had some great experiences in northern Vietnam and Cambodia. I am a very open minded person and am looking forward to connecting with even more new people and learning new skills :)

I love to sing, read and be out in nature. Hiking is awesome, but I also enjoy other sporty things in nature. I'm generally someone who smiles a lot and I love to have fun and interesting conversations. I like to always learn something new: Be it a new language (currently I am trying to learn Italian) or a new skill (so much to learn (!), currently I am trying to improve my guitar-playing skills :)).

I am looking forward to using this platform even more in the future, making new connections and discovering different parts of this beautiful world :)

I am a perfectionist and thus good at things that require patience and accuracy. I don't have any particular experience in construction or woodwork, but I would consider myself capable of performing such tasks. I am good at keeping a space clean, or decorating. I have good online skills, know how to set up a website or update social media profiles. I am a decent photographer and like taking pictures. I am into gardening and can help with plants. I love music, I play the piano, the guitar and sing. I am good at teaching people things, I have been teaching fellow students maths, english and french for many years. I like playing with kids and taking care of them. I have looked after children of different ages on various occasions and always found a way to entertain them.

I love music, making music, listening to it, composing it... But I'm also into sports ( I used to play soccer and volleyball) and just love spending time in nature and reading. I would never say no to a good book or board game either.
