Hello :)
thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
My name is Melanie an I am 18 years old.
I just started university and figured that this would be the perfect timing to see some parts of the world (your only young once in your life :))
After finishing school I realised that I do really miss my english classes and the conversations. It would be absolutely amazing to meet new hosts who really enjoy talking in the evening and teaching me their skills (My mother always told me that the way to learn is "steals with your eyes" and after giving that sentence a thought, I do agree with her)
I live in Germany an do enjoy taking time to walk my dog. He is absolutely amazing and always manages to make me smile. Spending time in nature (with and without my dog) always cheers me up when I had a tough day (especially when the sun is shining and when there is all kinds of water around :))
Moreover, I enjoy doing sports, singing and listening to music.
It is the first time on workaway so I am pretty excited about meeting new people and other cultures and help where my hand is needed.

I really like talking in English to improve my conversational skills. There are so many varieties of a language depending on the area you are going to and I would love to learn some of these. I would prefer to stay at a host who does not speak German so that I can challenge myself by speaking English all the time. However, I would love to share some knowledge about the german language.

I trained my dog by myself and really love all kinds of animals. They can be so heartwarming and a bringer of happyness. It is important to be empatic to try to find out what they do need and to know when to leave them alone.
Not long ago, I teached some students from school in several subjects. It is so nice to see their progress and to motivate them to keep going. Moreover, I enjoy spending time with a toddler of a friend and with my cousin. Playing with him and seeing ordinary things trough his eyes is fascinating and amazing.
I used to be in the forest every day when I was a littel girl so I am definitely not afraid of getting my clothes dirty.
Even if you have other tasks you want me to do, I am a fast learner.
If I start something, I definitely want it to finish it perfectly.

Maybe it would be interesting to know that I play Ringtennis. It is a very unique and small sport and I really love it. Seing the same people from different cities over and over again creates a feeling of belonging together.
