MY WORKAWAY EXPERIENCE;

I've worked at two Workaway so far, both in rural Spain. One was an old village about an hour from Barcelona where I helped clear out a dilapidated wine cellar. This was a week of heavy lifting and general dirty work but also of beautiful food, people and surroundings. My second work away was on a farm in the mountains of Extremadura. I spent nearly two months here and learned more than I can put into words. The labour included sheparding goats, chopping firewood from tree to stove, clearing a field of dead cherry trees to be repurposed as fig trees, feeding the livestock, clearing bushes for plant growth, cooking, cleaning and much much more, however my time there has really just blurred into one big feeling of growth and content. I'd like to expand this feeling to other Workaways with the help of anyone that will have me.

To be happy I really just need nice surroundings, good people, the occasional alone time and to be working towards a cause that excites me. Wine and music are also big bonuses.

I can play guitar and harmonica and would love to teach if you would like to learn. I'm doing a TEFL course at the moment so have some skill in teaching. I can make great coffee, I've been a barista for about four years now. I'm can also nearly whistle with two fingers so if you weren't already impressed I know you are now.
