Hello, our names are Henrik and Johanna. We both come from Germany. My girlfriend and I recently arrived in Vancouver and are very excited to start our work and travel adventure here in Canada. We want to work, earn money and then use that money to continue travelling and learning. With Workaway we want to meet new people and share great experiences. We are not afraid of hard work and are always happy to help wherever needed.
Henrik: I'm happy when I can spend time in nature and stay active. I love hiking, mountain biking and skiing and enjoy discovering new places outdoors. I am also motivated to learn more about Canadian culture and improve my English while meeting new people.
Johanna: I enjoy painting and taking pictures because I love capturing beautiful moments and impressions. I love animals, especially cats and dogs. Also, i like trying out good food, listening to music, and going to concerts. Walking, especially by the sea, is something I really enjoy, as I appreciate the peace there. I would describe myself as a spontaneous and open minded person who loves experiencing and trying new things.

Henrik:
I love being active and outdoors. I did weight training and football as hobbies, so I am fit and enjoy physical work. I also have experience helping at home with different projects, like building a pool, parking space, and a shed in our garden.
At home we also have a dog, so I am comfortable with animals.
In Germany, I did my high school diploma (Abitur). I also completed an internship at Volkswagen in car body construction. I am focused on my goals, can stay calm under stress, and I really enjoy working in a team.
Johanna:
I am very good with children and interested in psychology. I have worked as a vacation job in a kindergarten as a substitute. Above all I like dancing. I danced in a club for 8 years, at home. Music is also very close to my heart, I have learned to play instruments. Recently I have also been doing strength training.
For Canada, I took a job at Volkswagen on the assembly line, where I gained experience in teamwork. My time there showed me that I am physically fit and coped very well with the conditions. So I am mentally and physically resilient.
Just like my boyfriend, I have a high school diploma (Abitur).

We feel happy when we can spend time in nature and stay active. We love hiking, mountain biking, and skiing, and we enjoy discovering new places outdoors. We want to make our dream of traveling through Canada come true, which is why we are looking for places where we can help out and spend more time in this beautiful country.
