Hello everyone.
My name is Hannes and I'm from Austria.
I love traveling and getting to know new people and cultures.
I just arrived in Japan on May 30th. I have a working holiday Visa and I'm going to stay in Japan for a whole year until May 2026. I also have an international driver's lisence.
I'm here in Japan, since I want to get to know it's culture, the lifestyle, the country, the people, the language and many more.
I would love to make good friends here and contripute a part to this amazing countrie and the people here.
I'm looking forward to get to know you all and spend some time of my journey with you. 😃
I'm always willing to try something new, learn new skills and learn new perspectives.
Getting to know a different lifestyle and new cultures is something that interests me a lot. To expand my horizons and experience something different than what I'm used to at home.

I am very interested in learning new languages and improving my current knowledge. My native language is German and I also speak English quite well. Since I'm in Japan until May 2026, I'm doing my best to study Japanese. I'm also very interrested in doing a language exchange with both Hosts and Workawayers, so if we are staying close, I'd be up to meet and share my English and German Knowledge with you and would be happy if you can help me to improve my Japanese. After i finished school in 2017, I started working as metal worker and passed the vocational training and I'm working in this field since then.
I am a very ambitious person who always do his best to complete his task.
I love trying out something new. I would like to learn new skills and also share my skills with others.
I enjoy doing DIY projects and have some knowledge in gardening as well.

Well, a little about me.
I like to spend my free time playing darts. I usually play it every day.
Another hobby of mine is designing Lego creations. I'm a big Star Wars fan and build spaceships and locations from these moviesin my free time.
I am a creative person.
I also really enjoy being in nature. I love spending time by the water and go skiing a lot in winter.
In the summer of 2023, I spent three months in the USA, working at a summer camp for teenagers. Afterward, I spent a month traveling around the USA and saw many places. During this time, I was able to improve my English skills a lot. I acquired new skills and shared my knowledge with others.
At the end of 2024 I spent 3 months in Korea and was able to get to know life in Asia a little better. Now I kinda fell in love with Asia and would like to spend more time there.
