Description
My name is Hannah. I am a green-thumbed traveler taking a break from regular life to do a bit of solo travelling. I plan to use this time to connect with the natural world, learn about subsistence farming, animal husbandry, English gardening and myself. I have been working in the horticulture industry for seven years and I recently recieved my horticulture technician certificate and my permaculture design certificate. I am primarily looking for opportunities to work on permaculture sites, English gardens and homesteads around Europe. I have a bit of an artsy side and can lend ideas and expertise on landscape design. Im also a bit of a foodie and thoroughly enjoy foraging, canning, cooking and preserving. I value work that is based on practices that improve the soil and seek to give back to nature as it nourishes us. Reciprocity is at the core of how I operate in the world.

Shelley was a great host. She cooked lots of flavourful farm fresh meals and made sure I got to see some nearby lakes. She let me help out with the charity she works for doing summer camp activities like paddle boarding. She was flexible with scheduling which allowed me to go hiking in my free time and see Whistler and Joffrey Lakes.

Hannah was a wonderful guest. She communicated her arrival times, tracked her own working hours, and was very tidy and respectful of the house and property. She helped us clean up the late summer garden, helped expand one of our garden areas, and planted some fall crops for us.
